Project A

 

I.     Happy Water Line Walk

 

 

 

II.   How Far Can We Go Without Water

I.      The Happy Water Line Walk project is designed to promote public participation on environmental care and harmony. It’s a weekly activity that has been going on for a couple of years by a few SMEs/scholars focusing on water resources in and near Beijing.

 

II.     The How Far Can We Go Without Water project is four on-site water reservoir visits (each time 300 people) organized by The Beijing Water Fund Association Organized to promote water conversation and awareness.

I.      The Happy Water Line Walk project is designed to build a larger network and is an association of the Happy Water Hike between Beijing and 5 other cities (Tianjin, Xiamen, Lanzhou, Xian, and Shijiazhuang). The project will develop training materials and train and develop members from other cities and will promote Water Hiking in those 5 cities.

 

II.     The How Far Can We Go Without Water project will continuously organize water reservoir visits on national holidays to educate more people about the shocking truth of water shortage in Beijing.

I.     Use It One More Time

 

 

 

II.   Urban Household Survey and Contest

 

 

I.      The Use It One More Time project will promote and create an online campaign and collect good ideas focusing on saving water such as how to re-use and recycle the water.

 

II.     The Urban Household Survey and Contest will promote water saving awareness from schools to communities/households in about 5 cities.

 

I.      The objective of the Use It One More Time project is to promote and advocate ideas or behaviors incorporating water saving. The greatest ideas will be awarded with outstanding achievements.

 

II.     The objective of the Urban Household Survey and Contest project will be to conduct a baseline study of the water usage and habits of the participating households, awareness-raising events in the 5 cities for the participating households and then initiate a water saving competition and identify and award the best case examples and improvement areas.

Project C

 

Water and Urban Planning and Development

The Water and Urban Planning and Development project advocates water planning as part of the creation of city development plans.

The objective of the Water and Urban Planning and Development project is to:

  -  Investigate the current experience and problems of the water and city planning

  -   Write a report about the results and publish

  - Organize a Water and City Planning Forum

 

Project D

 

Economical Hotel Water Conservation

The Economical Hotel Water Conservation project is focused on the Home Inn which is one of the biggest economical chain hotels in China with 605 hotel chains. The project intends to start a series of environmental practical actions to improve its environmental hotel's brand value.

The objective of the Economical Hotel Water Conservation project is to work with hotel management to create a series of environmental initiatives on promoting water conservation and healthy drinking water.
